Slow Down There’s No Heaven

Sirus F Gahan

‘Slow Down There’s No Heaven’ is a 9-minute online film filmed and edited by Sirus F Gahan for Free Skateboard Magazine. The film accompanies the ‘Wake me up before you Momo’ article in issue 22 of Free.

In October 2018, Skate Nepal in conjunction with Vans, Carhartt and UK-based skateboard brand Lovenskate organised an 18-day road trip to Nepal. The premise of the trip was simple; to help spread the message of skateboarding in Nepal. With donated goods gathered from various generous individuals, brands and distributors the 12-man group headed to Nepal to hold events at the two existing skateparks in Nepal. The purpose of these events was to encourage participation and inclusion in skateboarding – through skateboard workshops, music and competitions for the local community. Along the way the crew took in the vast and majestic Nepali landscape and skated whatever they could find in between. Slow down there’s no heaven is an encapsulation of this journey.
